  • Stephen A. Smith isn't buying that Kemba Walker would be the answer to all of the Boston Celtics' problems if he replaces Kyrie Irving in free agency.

Love Kemba, although the Celtics have a lot of work to do, I think he'll fit in better than Kyrie did. Still my favourite team in the NBA and backing them for 2020 and forever. Forever green!

I agree that Hayward being placed in the starting line up right off the bat set the Celtics off on the wrong foot but also u have to remember that kyrie was throwing everybody under the bus for him not being a good leader. And in the playoffs after a very poor shooting night he said he should have taken 40 shots instead of saying I’m cold imma let my teammates take over for a bit till I can get the shot to fall.

No SAS... it wasn't just Hayward's relationship with Stevens that ruined that locker-room, because - as far as I know - he asked to be benched halfway through the season.

We all saw Kyrie blaming the young guys in every loss and saying that he didn't shoot enough after the 5th game against the Bucks. Having your self-proclaimed "leader" blaming you in the media doesn't have a good impact in any team.

    Just saying...

Gordon Hayward was an all star before his injury, why wouldn't the ball flow through Hayward? Kyrie was the issue that was clear.

Kemba field goal percentage was lower cuz he’s been surround by a bad supporting cast and consider the degree of difficulty btw
Kyrie has had Boston and has had lebron so it’s been easier for him to shoot a better percentage

To blame playing time issues on Hayward and the young guys being upset IS Irvings problem if he's the leader of the team. Hayward needed reps to get back into BBall shape. He only played 20ish minutes and averaged 7 shots a game. So it's not like he took that many shots from them. Irving should have known Hayward was a big part of them being able to compete, and pulled the young guys aside and said they need to help their teammate get back to were he was. And Hayward had a couple big games were the young guys celebrated him, and Irving didn't. And the Team did just fine with out Irving in the playoffs the previous years. And you could tell Irving bitched out in the last 4 games. Never have I seen him be that bad, that many games in a row and miss that many bunnies. He learned from the best quitting on their team when they want to go play with their friends. Good residence.
